International profile

Internationalisation has high priority at CVU Midt-Vest. The CVU wishes to provide all internal research areas with international aspects. The CVU cooperate with many different partners all over the world that have very diverse cultural backgrounds and we are accustomed to showing great respect toward different ways of living, working and educating and to do quality work within the existing frameworks.
Students from around the world are welcome to study at the CVU. We have bilateral agreements with universities, colleges and other institutions all over the world. These agreements usually mean that students are entitled to grants that cover their accommodation and living expenses – tuition is free of charge.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

• Students’ mobility (internship and studying abroad). The CVU has an Erasmus University Charter
• Teachers’ mobility and exchange
• Numerous partner agreements all over the world (Nordic countries – Europe – World)
• International conferences and seminars
• Coordination of and participation in EU-funded activities. (E.g. coordinating a Leonardo da Vinci pilot project from November 1, 2005).
• An Animation Travelling Workshop that has visited institutions and schools all over the world with a team of instructors who work to develop and encourage an interest for animated films and instruct in how to employ animation as a communication tool.
• In 2005, we co-founded a network called ESDN (Education and Social Development Network) that will increase our participation in development projects in the Third World.

The International Department
The main responsibility of the department is to assure international development of the CVU on all levels. In close cooperation with the seven institutions, the Development and Research Department and the employees, the department aims at strengthening the international aspect on all levels of the CVU with as high quality, professionalism and competence as possible.

In cooperation with the institutions in the CVU, the department aims at facilitating the CVU’s participation in international projects that focus on the development of innovative educational methods, learning tools, educational material and in-service training in a broad sense. An additional goal is for the CVU to participate in developmental projects outside Europe, especially in the developing countries. In cooperation with the seven institutions the department organizes and administrates international mobility which includes both incoming and outgoing students and teachers as well as other personnel.

The department also functions as an information centre in the international field. The staff keeps up to date with developments in international relations in the educational field and disseminates relevant information in the CVU.
